Comment: Even though the unit of the time variable is flexible in the original NASA-Ames format specification, the EBAS NASA-Ames format fixes the time unit to days from the file reference point. The time unit description in this line is fixed to the stated wording, but kept in the header for being backwards compatible. The time axis starts with 0.0 at 00 UTC on the file reference date stated in header line 7.
