Template for inorganic air/aerosol chemistry (filter-based)
This format should be used for submitting all relevant inorganic components (sulphur, nitrogen, base cations and sea salt ions)
measured in air and aerosols with a filter-based system.
Typically a three stage filterpack sampler (the EMEP reference method)
or a denuder system, but also chemical speciation of one filter systems like PM10 and PM2.5.
Points to note:
- Report sum of nitrogen compounds, i.e. HNO3+NO3 and NH3+NH4 in addition to the concentration of the individual components
- Include information on filter type(s) and coating solution(s).
- Include information on both the sampling and analytical instruments
- Include information on performance in laboratory intercomparison, i.e in EMEP and WMO/GAW for the respective year
