Template for submission of Filter Absorption Photometer Data - Level 1 

Points to note:
  • Reference pressure and temperature:
    A level 1 file contains the data referenced to standard conditions of temperature and pressure (273.15 K, 1013.25 hPa).
  • Applicable instruments:
    Please observe that this template is valid for all filter aborption photometers except for Magee AE33 aethalometers. Due to lacking loading correction factors for the AE33, please report these in level 0 only as soon as the AE33 level 0 template is available.
  • Number of spectral values reported:
    If necessary, please adapt the template to the number of wavelengths and wavelength values your instrument reports data for. This will involve changes in header lines 1, 10, 11, 12, 19ff, and 266.
  • When converting from equivalent black carbon, a C0 factor of 3.5 shall be used in accordance with GAW report 227. This applies to AE31 and all previous aethalometer types that do not have a white light source.
