Volume std. pressure

Description:

The pressure which has been used for normalising volume concentrations. Normalisation can only be done when temperature and pressure during the measurements is known. Otherwise 'ambient' or 'instrument internal' can be used to describe the conditions.

Syntax:

Volume std. pressure:             <float> hPa
Volume std. pressure:             ambient
Volume std. pressure:             instrument internal

Examples:

Volume std. pressure:                 1013.25 hPa
Volume std. pressure:                 ambient


Recommended standard conditions in EBAS:

All data reported to EBAS should be normalised to 273.15 K / 1013.25 hPa. Exceptions include ozone measurements reported as mass concentration (ug/m3), which should be normalised to 293.15 K / 1013.25 hPa, and observations where pressure and temperature during measurement aren't monitored. In these cases, use the keywords "ambient" for observations conducted at ambient conditions of temperature and pressue (e.g. filter samples of particulate matter), or "instrument internal" in cases where conditions change between ambient conditions and measurement. "Instrument internal" conditions are mostly used for level 0 data, i.e. before correction to standard conditions, and discouraged elsewhere.
